To make communication of environmental issues more effective and successful, leaders and representatives of institutions in the environmental and natural resources sector, as well as scientists in the Volta Basin, are provided with this opportunity to hone their media skills. The participants will be trained in publishing meta data and preparing and uploading of related data sets into the Geoportal. Focus will be on distribution control of ownership protected data sets, and on the advantages of publishing geo-spatial datasets using Web Map Services.
